A Style Cut is a trim, tidy up, snip, lop, haircut, cut, buzz cut, short back & sides & any colloquial term etc. & any thing that requires a pair of scissors. What this means is; if a stylist uses their scissors to cut even the minutest bit of hair, this is a Style Cut. A style cut that takes longer or shorter time does not mean the stylist has any more or less ability. If this is a concern, there are many other amazing salons within your budget in Hobart.

A ReStyle is the same as above, though usually more hair is removed e.g. long to short. However, in more instances it is the need to restructure a whole new layering design within your hair. Thus, a ReStyle is not always having your long hair cut to short either.

A Style Dry is drying the hair with a blow dryer using brushes or in some instances also our hands, for example ‘dry off’ or going under the hairmaster. Not all stylists do the ‘leave the brushes in curly blowdy’. All stylist work differently in their approach to styling & we expect your utmost respect & manage your expectations.

Balayage is the French term for freehand painting. It is a specific technique to achieve a result - painting colour onto the hair freehand for a natural effect. It rarely achieves a very pale colour. Your stylist will use the appropriate technique they choose to achieve the specific result.

Foils are a specific technique to achieve a result - weaving out hair & protecting the remaining hair from the colour. Hair is wrapped in foils to aid in the processing & protect the colour from the uncoloured hair & uses the body’s natural heat to allow for brighter results. Foils are usually used for a ‘foilage’ result - balayage using foils for additional brightness. Your stylist will decide what is the appropriate technique to achieve the result.

Global colour is painting/covering every single hair on the head with a colour either to permanently change or change the tone.

Creative colour is a combination of techniques (including the above) to achieve the agreed end result.
